I won't admit that I had a motive for browsing through our bike pictures from our various adventures last season but, I was strolling through them last week showing my oldest daughter them when my wife came to end up viewing them as well with us.

This particular picture was taken on a tuesday afternoon in the first week of August. We were into day two of a week long riding adventure and, had just conquered Mt St. Helens again. The thing that was so special (besides the awesome weather) was the fact that it was just my wife and I alone and we had a very fast, spirited, clean, hard, and traffic free run up, down, and across the mountian. To say we were spent is putting it mildy. We sat on our asses at a ranger station pullout sipping our water bottles and, saying, "wow, what a run" over and over again as our steeds sit in front of us going" click, click, clank" back and forth to each other as they cooled down from being quite lathered up. We were in the middle of nowhere and it was a very bliss filled moment, the type you carry to your grave and, hopefully beyond
I just wanted to remind everyone (except the ones in sunny latitudes) that riding seasons right around the corner and, now's a good time to reflect back on why we do what it is that we love so much.
