well, it as time for a new chain, so i decided to go with a new pair of sprockets this time. besides never wanting to change out a stock front sprocket ever again.... the rest of the ordeal was pretty easy. now, after ready NUMEROUS reviews on how "great" this mod was (i also did a -1/+2 on ym old R6 and it REALLY woke the bike up), i dicided to go with it. its been a solid week now and im not real "thrilled" with it. i do notice how it REALLY likes to be in the power band as well as just accelerate like a mofo. i dont like how i can only do like 181 now  but IMO, its nice cause now it seems the bike is always in a powerband, even in 6th gear doing like 45 mph (or atleast it gets ride of that bogging feeling). maybe i was just use to my old R6 and how the thing just wanted to wheelie like crazy :/ im still glad i did it though, to bad my friends with the 05+ gsxr 1ks dont like it, cause now i can actually pass them like they r standing still.... atleast till 181, then they slowly pass me.. hahahaha

cool
it is one of the bast mods for a kick in the pants.

Hey Kris, an electric impact wrench purchased for Harbor Tool and Frieght would have removed the front sprocket in less than a sec trust me.

Heres the model I purchased last year from my local
Harbor Frieght and tool store

actually i used my buddys electric impact gun and it took about 4 mins of constantly on till it came off. i figured i better to that before i screw up the trans

gonna have to try it myself, dont mind so much about doing sub 180's if i can get there alot quicker

Go back to stock on the rear and you'll probably be a little happier. Still leaves like a batouttahell and highway riding is still nice. just my .02
