just got a naturally fast 99 busa...

brought the 99 home tonight. paid a little too much for it but gotta get what i want. questions= does the 99 busa have a fuel cock? if yes, where is it? what is the fuel capacity for the 99's tank. the needle was in the red when i rode it home tonight, was a little worry because i don't know if the bike has a fuel cock or a low fuel light. the guy i bought the bus from will send me the owner's manual as soon as he finds it. any help would be appreciated.
 
No petcock that I know of.

From another post I believe the fuel light will come on at .9 gal

Registered 99 owner here....

Only limiter I know of is the gearbox....

1st Gear - about 80mph
2nd Gear - about 130-135 (?)
3rd Gear - Never even topped that one out....
4th Gear - See above
5th Gear - Are you kidding?
6th Gear - Really...you must be joking...

my 00 was at 150 in 5th with room to spare
(i was at 8 or 9 k) i think???
 
It's got a petcock.
Right where the hoses come out of the tank, under the tank.
Lift the tank, see the hoses. Look at the flat dial looking thing.
It takes a special tool to turn it off. Needle nose pliers work best for us that don't have that tool.

thanks guys, unfortunately the other guy can't locate the owner's manual so i might have to buy one from the dealer. if not, then i'll just ask you guys when needed for maintenance, etc. it's good to be part of the bus club. thanks!!!
