Just got back last night. Had a ball!!!!!! Rode and rode and rode for a week plus. Will try my best to get back there in 3 weeks to meet you guys at the fall bash.
The Busa can turn.....you just have to tell her to a little harder. I was not passed by anything on the runs I made. A few tried. It was the most fun I have had on a motorcycle with my clothes on.
On a sad note. 2 bikers were killed while I was there. One from Fla. 25, trying to keep up with his father in law and mid shifted and drifted into the oncoming....and into a Harley. Harley rider hurt but not seriously.
Second one I don't have as much of the specifics. But I believe it was a Hayabusa. All I know was there were handpainted warnings about OIL ahead and when you round the curve you can see where the bike cracked up due to the oil slick left behind. They had Oil-Dri on in and it wasn't there the previous time I rode it which means it happened on like Monday or Sunday. I ave no details other thand what the clerk at the store passed on.
Tennesee LEO was ALL OVER THE PLACE as soon as you crossed the line. You had to ride early in the morning and be done by about 9:45. North Carloina troopers were also there but were THE NICEST guys you'd ever want to meet!!!!!
All on bikes and were ewwiing and ahhing us as much as we were them.
I will download pics when I can.
I really will try and get away again in 3 weeks for the bash. Nicest time I have had a in a long time on vacation. Now I gotta get back to work and make enough money to do it all over again.
