Just got back last night. Had a ball!!!!!! Rode and rode and rode for a week plus. Will try my best to get back there in 3 weeks to meet you guys at the fall bash.

The Busa can turn.....you just have to tell her to a little harder. I was not passed by anything on the runs I made. A few tried. It was the most fun I have had on a motorcycle with my clothes on.

On a sad note. 2 bikers were killed while I was there. One from Fla. 25, trying to keep up with his father in law and mid shifted and drifted into the oncoming....and into a Harley. Harley rider hurt but not seriously.

Second one I don't have as much of the specifics. But I believe it was a Hayabusa. All I know was there were handpainted warnings about OIL ahead and when you round the curve you can see where the bike cracked up due to the oil slick left behind. They had Oil-Dri on in and it wasn't there the previous time I rode it which means it happened on like Monday or Sunday. I ave no details other thand what the clerk at the store passed on.

Tennesee LEO was ALL OVER THE PLACE as soon as you crossed the line. You had to ride early in the morning and be done by about 9:45. North Carloina troopers were also there but were THE NICEST guys you'd ever want to meet!!!!!

All on bikes and were ewwiing and ahhing us as much as we were them.

I will download pics when I can.

I really will try and get away again in 3 weeks for the bash. Nicest time I have had a in a long time on vacation. Now I gotta get back to work and make enough money to do it all over again.

Yeah, I heard all about the accident. That's why it can't be said enough: Ride Your Own Ride. Ride beyond your skill and you might end up on the Tree of Shame (or worse).

Glad you had a good time up here.

Oh yeah I almost forgot. In addition to my own pics...I was snapped by Killboy, US129photos, and moonshinephotos.com/ Have to admit they take some VERY cool pics. I was 2 up and the guy from 129 shooting pictures said that I was the cleanest run he had ever seen 2 up....**Puffing out chest proudly now**

:beerchug: I hope you make it back for the Bash :beerchug: Don't get too arrogant...the Dragon has a way of dealing with those that do :)

God I hate Tenn. Leo's. I got a ticket for 30 over in there.
That guy was a fekking prick. And that was on my 600. Ha! I'd hate to see the ticket on my busa.

Check Zee Foto, Deals Gap, North Carolina Photography and Photos, The Dragon, Nature, and Moto too. I've bought some great shots from them.

Because of the THPigs, I go only during the week, hardly ever on weekends. Busa Bash of course will be an exception.

Yea, I ride there every other weekend or so, and it,s REAL simple, you cross the double yellow, and you will die, or be hurt real bad. A lot of flat landers come here, and they ride WAY over there head, and live,s are lost. I feel bad for the Harley ride, hell, he was doing what he was supposed to do, and some inexperinced rider takes him out. Hell I do the gap roughly 25 times a year, know the road WELL, and it,s real easy to cross the line.

I will need to get to the Bash next year and ride the dragon and surrounding area. I've heard, read and seen a lot of things that just draw me to the Deals Gap area.

I was at the gap in July this year, (not on a Busa) I cant wait till next year to Hit it agian with the 08 Busa. I had the time of my life there. Now it will be my Vacation spot every year here on out !
