If you remember the Custom Painted Katana that I posted here a while back, well we were hitting Laureles grade about dusk and somebody came up the Carmel Valley side as we were going down and Jose had no choice but to go up the bank and dump it. He rode it out for a good 120 ft. or so but the rocks just got bigger and bigger till blam he went down. I was petrified and thought I lost another friend. the bike is ok. the body is scratched all to shid, .but that was alot of work to get it looking that way. Tore the windscreen off.

so it goes back in the garage.

Very sad to hear~
I hope your bro is doing alright though...

IF you ever come to CA and Laguna Seca It is the closest Rd to the Main Entrance of Laguna Seca Raceway Its where the Firestation is. We were headed down the Carmel Valley Side and we weren't smashing or hitting it too hard because it was cold and getting dark but some lady was coming up the banked S-turns and just as jose was passing a slow car she came across at him so he had no Choice but to go up the bank and ride it out. He is very lucky but now we have a chance to put his new motor in. He has a 1999 and we found an Ebay motor with 30 miles on it 2004!!! so basically he will have a new bike...again!!

Glad to hear that some good is coming out of it, and that Jose is okay.

overtaking on corners, probably not something we should make a habit of.

Reminds me of a cab driver I had in Turkey once.
On quite a busy road he seemed to think that it was OK to overtake people while going over the blind crest of a hill.

Someone got shouted at that day.

Lets leave the gambling at the casinos

Man, sorry to hear that. Good luck on the rebuild. Can you repost the pic? Also, have him check with katriders.com. There's a few NoCal members that may be able to help out with parts and stuff.
