Oh dear me...

They've taken it off the website...

Anyone have any links to news/press release about this?

It was the only Kawi I liked!!! It was a really cool naked bike too...

I suppose they're taking it (and the ZX1200) off the market to encourage people to buy the new ZX-14. Maybe they're going to start making a naked 14?

I liked the naked 12 too, it's a classic old-school design that reminds me of the earliest Kawi muscle bikes.

If it was profitable then they would not have stopped production, obviously they have their reasons and its not just to piss off ZRX fans....stupid?

no tears here, i have never liked that bike's looks but respected it's power.

Here is your Stupid...Kawasaki sent representatives to the ZRXOA national rally this summer(First time ever), then they sent the ZRXOA President Chuck to Florida-Orlando to the dealer show to just tell him they were discontinuing the ZRX....Brain dead is what I call Kawasaki...They act like Fema..

bummer! I like that bike...

I remember back in about '79 (dating myself here...) when the Z1-R ( I think that's what they called it) was the bike to own.....Wes Cooley was winning on it...it was badazz.

There was a light blue metallic one at the Corvallis, Or dlr.....I wanted it bad! Couldn't afford it, had to make do with the old CB750. But I lusted... Couple of companies made turbo kits for it...made it unreal.

Ahhhh...memories!

Sad to see it go.

The ZRX is a cool looking bike. I've had 2 1100's myself and have had to fight off the urge to sell the Busa and buy another. Yes, they're a good bike, better torque feel than the Busa by far.

Its a shame they have to starve Kwaq enthusiasts by limiting their selection in order to sell the 14.

Never really did like those bikes. They look cool, but are underpowered. The blue and black model is prolly my fave.
There's a guy around here with a turbo ZRX with a dump pipe. Cool looking and sounds awesome, but it dyno'd at 160 hp.....that's pathetic.

I was planning on trading in my Y2K 1100ZRX on an '06. Guess not. The ZRX is a really neat bike which is virtually bullet-proof, handles OK and looks right (or awful -matter of opinion).

I lusted after a red one before I found my busa. I had trouble getting past those damn vacuum operated slides in the carbs. Evil things if they get the slightest bit dirty or gummed up. They are cheep used though. I seem to remember some rumblings about crank problems on the 1100 but that was a year or two ago and I was probably trying to talk myself out of buying one. I tried to do the same with the busa but it was having none of that.

We call him ZBAD..His name is Chris, he is a great guy..

My bad, wasn't Wes Cooley on it.....he rode Suzuki...
Oh well, I'll still be sad to see it go.

If that turbo'd ZRX is only making 160hp then somethings wrong. Most zrx guys are making 200hp with minimal boost.

Then again, you can't compare a ZRX motor to a Busa's.

I have a '02 1200 and love it. It is a good overall bike and has good power. I have surprised many bikes with it. My busa handles better, but I like the ZRX for in town riding, and when riding with 600 size bikes.
