Key Delete for Gen 3?

I'm really interested in something like this that has a proximity fob so I just keep my keys in my pocket and just ride.
I’d be open to that too. I’m on a mission to get my bike sub 500 lbs without going to carbon wheels or giving up any creature comforts. I’m sure I’ll end up pulling the harness and trimming stuff down.

I have a side light that I need to pull the nose apart because it looks like I forgot to reconnect it when putting the red trim on, and while I’m in there I have emissions deletes to install, some other small parts to remove and figure deleting the key may be on the list.

What have you done so far? It doesn’t take that much to get under 500lbs unless you mean with a full tank of fuel?

Yeah I mean with a full tank. I really am shooting for 47X but I’ll be happy sub 500. I haven’t dove into much yet, still amassing a pile of parts to delete stuff but first round will be emissions gear, oil cooler, Ti exhaust normal poop so far. I want to see what the basics get me before I start replacing and nuts, bolts and parts type of weight reduction.
I refuse to delete body panels or creature comforts too. I’ll never be the fastest, nor want to be the fastest. But a lot of people overlook what a little bit of weight reduction and chassis tuning do for overall performance and we’re starting there with my bike being going to a 1441

The ignition connector is the same as gen1 / gen2 busa, so a toggle switch in place of key would be easy, obviously with no theft deterrent and more of a drag bike thing.

I've done the red kill switch as main power on/off on gen1 and gen2 busas plug and play using a relay so all the current for the key switch doesn't go through the red kill switch, but haven't done it on the gen3 yet. I have the connectors here for the ignition and right hand control of the gen3, so pretty sure I could make the red kill switch operate everything, but on a brand new street bike would seem a little odd to me, makes sense on a drag only stripped down bike etc.

At least the ebay ignition switches I use on my electrical test boards, they weigh 17 ounces, with no wires just the connectors needs to plug into ignition and male/female the RH control connector plus a relay is 3-4 ounces. Thats with no wire, to me doesn't seem like the greatest way to cut weight IMO.

Most of the reason I want to delete the key is because of the triple clamp I want to switch too and how the key block for that clamp is moderately cancerous. I know the theft deterrent is gone at that point but my bike is never parked anywhere without me being directly by it.
