Kick stand on the right?

Never heard of that....ever......if you note, we get on and off our bikes on the same side as a horse...

I know the old British bikes had the shifter on the right.....while riding my brother's Norton, I hit the rear brake lots of time trying to shift the first few minutes of riding...

At one one time all stage coaches and horse drawn wagons were controlled from the right, when we went to cars, North America switched sides for some unknown reason....

I’m left handed guess what side ? I did ride yesterday and on I did go
left side for sure . Wife wanted a new toy how could I say no!
happy wife happy life.

Most of the time I pull the clutch lever when stating the bike.
IF a bike had a right side standard and you were going to mount it from the right side the
clutch lever would be farther away, and probably more awkward to grab on to.

In America most all cars, trucks, etc (not including mail delivery vehicles) are on the left side
regardless of you being right handed or left handed. Just like bikes always having a left side standard.

I’m a lefty and happy to have kickstand on the left. I have the habit of reaching over and clamping my front brake before I mount, but I can easily reach that. I do wish I could put a centerstand on my gen2 like on gen1s.
