If you’re in a pinch, just smash an aluminum pop can flat and put under the kickstand. I’ve done that for 25-years+ without and issue.
That's what I was going to recommend, but I refrained, thinking, "that's not bling enough for this highfalutin crowd".If you’re in a pinch, just smash an aluminum pop can flat and put under the kickstand. I’ve done that for 25-years+ without and issue.
I think that's the same as the one I got only mine was black...I drilled a hole in it and tied a piece of twine to it so I could pull it up when I take the bike off the side stand.there is a generic plastic kickstand plate which revzilla sells for 5-6 dollars I had bought for my Get 2 Busa and I use it for the Gen 3 now. It is an orange plastic piece with some ridges in it so that the stand doesn't slide over it. it is strong and works well. Great value for money.
Yeah, I used to carry around a small piece of parquet for the same purpose. Often simply forgot to put it down. A bolted-on kickstand shoe is more reliable. If you’re in a pinch, just smash an aluminum pop can flat and put under the kickstand. I’ve done that for 25-years+ without and issue.
I never had this problem even with an aftermarket side stand that is shorter than stock. The only time I ever worried was when I parked on gravel or new asphalt. I just carried one of those plastic plates in my pocket and stuck it under the side stand. I got mine from CurveyGirl. A chunk of 1/4" plywood would work fine too. If you have a metal floor in your shed or dirt, just throw down a sheet of plywood where you park.there is a generic plastic kickstand plate which revzilla sells for 5-6 dollars I had bought for my Get 2 Busa and I use it for the Gen 3 now. `i dont think the larger foot will solve the problem in fact it may make it easier for the bike to roll off the side stand ,this seems to happen regular , my 2010 gen 2 did when i was blowing up the rear tyre same damage as you, hth4re is a simple mod to do on the side stand did mine on friday i also did it on my last busa i posted a video of the modjust had the bike roll over on the kickstand!!!! scratches on the left fairing, broken clutch lever, foot peg, scratches on the exhaust heat shield!!! now i am looking for the kickstand shoes

I parked on the side stand for literally 2 min to run back to get something.. it was windy and the handle bar was not turned in to the lock position … the bike just walked over and fell to the left. Costing me about $1000 to change all the scratched plastics, broken clutch lever, footpeg, scratched mirror housing, bar ends, scratched exhaust heat shield etc.. aft this, i ordered a frame slider and kickstand shoe from R&G along with the Oem suzuki parts from partzillaI've never have been concerned with my bike falling over on the kickstand, I figured all of our bikes would be more/less the same.
