Kickstand Plates

Does anyone know where i could get a nice carbon fiber kickstand plate that will fit in the tail, so that i don't have to worry about my kickstand pushing into the ground and causing the bike to fall over?

I thought i saw them in a magazine awhile back

Your local shop will have them. Be carefull if you haven't done the it may take just enough of the lean angle away with the extra thickness between the stand and the ground to make tiping over the other way a greater possibility.

I made one of aluminum and had a buddy weld some "dots" on the bottum to stopit from moving with weight on it.

That's what I do.

I cut the bottom off a soda can, crimp up the sharp edges with some plyers and there is my kickstand plate.

Who cares if I forget it somewhere, all I have to do is drink a soda to replace it.
