first off i did a rough search and didnt seem to find another incident like this. when i try to lower my kickstand it moves the nut with it. it doesnt do it all the time but im affraid it will eventually work itself off completely. i noticed this problem when i was getting gas and had a hard time putin it down because what was happening was it would tighten up the nut half way down and become difficult. i looked at it alittle closer and i dont see anyting like a pin or some device that would prevent this. can anyone post a pic of a kickstand so i can get a better look to see if maybe they installed it wrong. anyone know what might be the problem? btw i just picked her up saturday, its an 04 model.

yea ill check with the dealer, was hoping not to resort to that cuz they are about an hour and 20 minutes away. see where the word "just" is over that one bolt. is there a nut missing off there? thats where the nut is on mine that moves with the stand sometimes. thanks for the quick reply, love this site.

ok well i had some more time to look at it and it seems like it came lose for some reason. the way its setup is that the nut will move with the stand but for some odd reason it was making it tighter and tighter somehow. ill see how it is over the next few days, maybe take a trip to service. thanks for all the help. oh and i finally got my d&d slipons on today. waited all day for the damn ups guy and he comes at like 730. they sound nice. just something til i can afford a full exhaust with pc3.
