Kid in truck backed into me

I was getting gas today, and when I came out from paying, I saw a lowrider truck backing up, 2 inches from my bike, I yelled Whooooooooooo, and he stopped, but not before he hit it, the kid got out,maybe 17-18 yrs. old, and looked at me and said "MY BAD". I asked him if he had insurance, and of course, he didn,t. I then notice my right hand was makeing a fist, all on it,s own, and I then told him he better get the hell out of there right now, before I did something we would both regret, and he left, (in a hurry). So I go home and try to rub the scratches out, and most of them came out, but not all of them. The stealer want,s $195.00 for a new one, but before I order one I thought I would see if any board members maybe switched to carbon fiber and had a stock one in PERFECT cond. they might want to sell. Thanks in advance.

The kid said MY BAD!!! you should have hit him... A buddy of mine did that, some high school kid was at the local gas station, had to been like 17, he was with his girlfriend so he was acting bad... Forgot what happened, but anyway, he got in my friends face *my friend was 40 at the time) and this kid gets in his face thinking he was all that, kid took a swing at my friend, my friend ducked, before the kid knew what happened he had a mouth full of fist and was gushing blood everywhere. He looked mighty bad to his GF after that..

My friend got in his car and drove to work.. never heard anything about it. That was like a year ago.

Should have pulled a Mikey D on him.. helped him up, repeatedly after what seems to be the kids inability to walk without falling down

Wish I could help on a fender. I've got two black busa fenders that I got for painter pieces. If I had a perfect one I'd certainly work ya up a nice swap deal for yer scratched one and save ya some bucks. Both have slight scratches though. Sorry. Wish I could help...

(This is a guy over at sh.org (his name is "LS6") who has an extra black fender I seen in his pictures of a Busa he is selling.. You might want to drop him an email and ask him if he'll sell you that fender.)


Ill keep an eye out for you. I know how it feels. I dropped 1 of my Busas over the winter and was one of the worst feelings. (It is a 00' and was 110% scratch free beforehand too.)

CHEAPEST WAY TO GO IS KEEP AN EYE OUT ON EBAY.. I BOUGHT A NEW FENDER ON EBAY FOR ABOUT $75 BUT I HAD TO WATCH FOR A LITTLE WHILE .. IF U ARE PATIENT U CAN FIND ONE WITH NO SCRATCHES. GOOD LUCK

Just out of curiosity, why wouldn't you just call the police and have him ticketed for the accident and no insurance?

Then you could easily get him to pay or take him to small claims, or parents would probably buck up for him.

Well, to be honest, Id had a beer or 3, and I didn,t want to take the chance on po po smelling it on me.  

and as far as small claims court and all that, by the time I took a day off work, I would be out more money than the $182.00 to replace the fender.
