Lamda sensor

Hi all.

I have just had my fuel pump rebuilt on my 2000 model and all goid but while putting the hoses from the rear of the tank bank on i noticed a cable that was not connected. It comes from the lamda in the exhaust but i can't locate where to connect it. The bike fires up fine.

I changed the entire system a few years ago to that from a 2004 model but can't remember ever connecting this up.

I can't remember if it was on the original.

Just wondering if you guys have any ideas s thanks Roger

It's been a while since I had my gen one, but the O2 sensor in the exhaust would plug in i believe under the tank to the left side, or just mid of the injectors (blueish green connector?). This is where you would put an O2 simulator in the connector where the sensor would originally plug into, then you can get away from not plugging it in. Typically done when doing aftermarket exhaust or power commander from what I recall.

Looks like it should be routed right where the oil pressure sensor wiring runs. Directly in front and near the bottom of the clutch cover, just in behind the starter gear cover. There should be the plug there. Unless it has been removed by some other wiring that may have been done.

Ok bud thanks. Just found my manual and due to me changing the exhaust system to a later one the sender is further back so i must have re-routed something so looks like a tank off and search......:)

HI Just as a thought - I have a TRE installed so would this negate the need for the Lambda cable to be connected.
?
