I never made a pass there but I knew and watched about 5-6 friends race Music City for a few yrs and they always wanted the left.
Some would throw fits if when they were pushin in to line up they got split or had to go right.
Something I have not thought about until you ask but it was how they were.
Bowling Green same way they all wanted the left lane.
Having never made passes at either it was diff for them to explain but the timeslips were more of a better demonstration of the diffs between the 60fts and others.

Left Lane: Silver Dollar Raceway, Reynolds Ga
Right Lane: Phenix City Dragstrip, Phenix City Al
Right Lane: Beechbend, Bowling Green Ky
Right Lane: Clarksville Speedway, Clarksville Tn (Does not matter since they really don't properly prep the track and you wont hook anyway)

Right lane: Bandimire Raceway, Colorado , sun heats up this lane. shadow of the Mountain cools the left lane

LVMS Las Vegas Motor Speedway "The Strip"
Left lane is my choice.

Englishtown both lanes are really good, but i have run my best times in the left lane
Atco right lane all the way, ran my personal best in the right.

It never really matters to me, but I prefer the left so if I run a sidewinder bike, I can still hear mine as I stage. But with the launch lite, it isn't as big of a deal anymore.

I noticed no difference at Music City, Sikeston, I-57, St Louis, or Martin MI in et from lane to lane. Jackson TN, I seemed to find that one lane hooked better than another, but cannot remember which

I always try run both lanes in practice anywere I race.Never know wich 1 you will end up in.Some guys my track act like they gotta have certain lane 2 win.I think thats mostly in there heads. Not 2 mention coul;d always be a cleanup that changes a lane.

As Ludi said above, both lanes @ Benton are about the same, there is however a dip about 60' out in the right lane that will pop your tire up. I ran the right lane a lot because guys don't like listening to a sidewinder on the 2 step @ 6500 rpm. We are all friends out there, so I would accomodate them.
Harrisburg track the right lane is the choice for the car guys, but I've run the same in either.
