Lathe Project ideas

So, teacher asks us what we want to make for our
class project.  Basic Metal Lathe 101 stuff.
I'm thinking some nice striped, V notched stainless bar ends.   I dunno...any ideas???
Fork tubes are a little out of my league.

I just made 4 sets of 3/4" risers with my Dads lathe. Bolts will be here tomorrow.

You can do rear spools.

risers would be easiest, just aluminum cylinders, inside diameter 10MM outside up to 25mm.

Spools or bar ends a little more complicated.

Actually I'm totally good with the handlebar positioning.
I use a tank bag all the time and when I lay into it, my hands just seem to fall into position perfectly. Good idea though...thanks.

I'm thinking maybe a concave profile with a ball end for the bar ends.
