Launching style is found with trial and error. Some guys like to launch at high rpm, some barely above idle. The object is to get the clutch all the way out and the throttle all the way open as soon as possible. Leave the line the same way you leave a stop sign, just try and do it quicker. Remember, stalling the bike isn't gonna hurt anything, but flipping it over backwards will leave a permanent mark.......
Practice is the key
If the front is lowered or strapped it can still wheelie but makes a major difference. I always had good luck keeping the RPM at about 35-3800 while waiting for the flagger or the tree. Then twist the throttle the whole way and slip the clutch. Get your 60' in the low 1.5 or high 1.4 with a 330' in the 3.9-4.0 and your doing well.
Lowering makes a huge difference, I dropped from a 10.2 to a 9.8 first time lowered.. Still pulls the front, but not as quickly.. lands a bit harder if you drop throttle to fast. no suspension left when strapped.. more for the track not the street.. here is a video of me fighting a wheelie lowered and stapped, stock wheelbase..
