Anyone ever leaded their front axle to add a bit of weight in the right place? If so how much were you able to add?

I think it was done a "long" time ago... they did "This" to stop "this"

Yes, it helps, at least it did with a stock rear arm. I don't remember the exact weight it added. 1.5 lbs comes to mind....

Checked my notes 2.7 lbs.. you need to do something to secure it as the lead will shrink as it cools. I drilled mine and put a pin in it.

Checked mine and it 2.4 lbs heavier-in conjunction with the 15 lb brick, I went from low 9.00s to mid 8.80s at SWB and picked up about 1.5 mph just because I could get on the gas quicker without wheelying.

Tungsten is even better. We had a machine shop use our measurements and built a mini bar ball that slides right into the front axle.

Controlling wheelies.
you can tell a difference with 1.5 pounds of weight on the axle?

when you are pushing a machine at its limits, everything can make a big difference on the street? you would never know the difference... Best part of racing is all the "tweaks" you can do and hunt for ET... (second best part is not telling anyone what you did)

1.5 pounds is nothing, but if you say it helps, "24 ounces " hehehe
