leaking oil

Well, I think I stripped the oil drain plug hole on the case. Is the a way to fix this other than getting a new case or will a piggy-back plug work fine? Thanks for any suggestions or help.

It doesn't sound like your sure that it's stripped. Is it?

Put synthetic in it and weld it shut.

I already use synthetic, however there is a constant leak and the new plug with new crush washer will not tighten down.

It sure does sound like you stripped the bolt. You can try the heli-coil fix, but if that does not work then I think you are in for one expensive repair bill.

at worst, take the oil pan off and replace or take to a machine shop.

I have oil pans in stock and you have bolt an washer lmk can ship today..

Thank you for all the helpful replies. However I took the bike to my mechanic and he placed a steel insert for the repair. Now I can use the stock drain plug and washer. But the best part was, he did this at no charge.Thanks for the help guys.
