So it's just getting in the 80s good here in MD. The frame is burning the crap out of the back of my legs by the seat. Anyone else notice this or do I just need way thicker pants?

I don’t notice that on my gen 3 but I do feel the hot air on the front of my shins when the fan comes on, I wear thick stretch jeans, I’m if Florida.

Was out on my Gen 3 yesterday and today, both days got into the 80’s and I didn’t notice at all…less than 200 miles so far on brand new machine, so I may just be too enamored by it to notice!

these engines seem to run very hot , the actual frame starts to get hot , if stood in traffic and could see the temp gauge rising ,i used to turn it off for a while to help it keep the engine temp down when at standstill , then start up as the traffic starts to move again, but thats when i experienced the slow hot start .

Gen 1s are very hot since the frame is more exposed by the tank. Gen 2s and 3s are not nearly as bad. Nothing a pair of jeans or riding pants won't cure. If you're riding in anything less then....

The gen3 is really cool compared to the 2017 bmw1000rr I had. I could only ride it when it's cool out. Summer riding was miserable, so yeah this gen3 is not bad at all.
