Lockdown present ordered - new airbag jacket

Decided to cash in some crypto and shout myself a new leather jacket. Got a lot, and I mean a lot of riding to catch up on very soon hopefully.
Took the plunge and ordered an airbag jacket. Figured why not.. We don't have a huge selection in Au so it's coming from the UK.
Once it lands, I'll do a weight comparison between my normal leather and the airbag one. They're basically the same jacket.
Details to follow once it arrives..

Interested in how well they protect your torso, ribs in particular. Years ago I had a wreck that wound up breaking a bunch of ribs, some in more than one place. The Joe Rocket jacket I was wearing at the time did a really good job with regard to abrasion, but my ribs were not protected at all against impact. The Klim jacket I ride with now is about bombproof with all the D3O armor and super tough Cordura, but is also has no armor of any kind in that area, thats where these inflatable jackets/vests would seem to shine.

I agree. Clavicle and ribs protection is where these airbag jackets shine. Only takes a few pounds of force to break a clavicle if hit just right.

After some research, the one that I got has the following:

Thorax - which I had to ask Dr Google what that is ... In my simple lang, Ribs/chest
Abdomen
Tops of the shoulders - has shoulder sliders as a extra also
Neck and helmet stability
And full length of the spine

It's re-packable and useable assuming that the actual jacket isn't torn.
And it's not a cable to the bike one. Relies on smarts and Gforce to fire. Under 60ms apparently

Should be here in 2-3 days. Once it lands, I'll reveal and add some info.

Some updates.
Jacket arrived. Really nice bit of kit.
Leather is soft, but thick. Almost like I've been wearing it for ages. Super cumfy from walking around the house in it. Won't know on the bike until a few more weeks. Just because it's an airbag jacket, doesn't mean I can be an idiot.. It's just more a I'm getting older, so why not...

My current jacket which is about 4 years old and about 12,000 ks

And here you can see the airbag, it's the blue bit.

They were weighed on the same hanger, but the airbag has a liner which I removed for weighing to make equal. Both have full armour as well.
The airbag controller needs to be recharged as it's a smart system and lasts around 22hrs in a full charge. It is also a subscription service, so it's a monthly fee during riding season, to keep it updated as new data becomes available.
As a side note, I'm not one for the full, all black riding gear. I prefer some colour of contrast if possible. All my gear including helmets are coloured.
Anyeqy, this is it. Looking forward to giving at a run soon. And a little bit more peace of mind...

That's pretty cool. Can it be recharged if you crash or do you have to pitch it?
The theory is, assuming the jacket isn’t shredded, that you remove the gas canister and then deflate the airbag part then get back on and ride.
You order another canister, install it and away you go. The brains has all the data logging from the deployment, gyro, gps, accelerometer, etc (which in under 60milliseconds) then uploads to the company and goes into their algorithm to fine tune the system. Kind of a continuously learning system I guess. One of the reasons I went this way. After 3uses you are supposed to send it to the factory to be checked and signed off for use or scrap

Oh, also the jacket is designed in a way to allow it to expand on deployment. Putting a vest under a normal jacket you risk the injury of it deploying with no expansion and directing its energy inwards instead of out. Not cool
