Check out the latest issue of "RIDE" Magazine,,that over priced motorcycle magazine from the Brits,,they test out most of the popular Disk locks,,some pass,,some fail miserably.

Also check out (abus.com),They make some of the best locks around.

all this came to mind cause I just took a report from a guy in town who just had his precious Buell taken,,all he had was a cable through the disk..left it for approx. 15 min at an auto parts store,,and POOF** Gone !!,,Cause we can't love our Bikes if we can't keep'em safe.

Do you have an email or phone number for the Spyball company? I'll call them and give 'em my pitch. Who knows?

So, your jedi powers of persuasion might get you over on the spyball company huh? Well, I can only wish you the best of luck. The addressed I mailed my enquiry to was info@nevism.co.uk I received a response in a few days and the person seemed quite cordial. Let me know what happens. There is another alarm product by the name Gorilla sold here in the U.S. you might be interested in looking at if all you want is an alarm. Maybe the Gorilla alarm has paging features by now? Later............

I bought one of the abus disk locks it seemed a little pricey. But when I got it I was impressed by how tough it looks to be. The thing seems to be bullet proof. I ordered mine on bikelock.com and it came the next day.

I got the ABUS Gold lock and chain and it gets me a discount on my insurance.

Cost me £158 ($220approx). Insurance saving this year £90 ($126). I would have bought it without the saving just for peace of mind. Brilliant. Only thing I might say is possibly the chain could be a little longer but then it wouldn't fit in the back of my bike.

Mind you I also have the Spyball alarm/immobiliser with a pager so I have as much peace of mind as I can have short of riding into my office and chaining it to my desk.

Sorehead Tell us about the "spyball". Cost, where to get one, how it works, installation etc.
Thanx.

I contacted the company that makes the spyball alarm approximately two months ago and was told that though the product is manufactured off the shores of Britania the product's frequency(cies) is(are) assigned to work in Europe. There are currently no plans to export to the U.S. but I was told also this was in reconsideration.
