Went to the Kawi tent and found out no more 636s.  The 6r is the old 6rr.  The Kawi rep said sales were good for the 636, out sold the 6rr, but Kawi decided to axe it.

Then saw Colin Edwards, Eric and Ben Bostrom signing autographs.  The line was pretty short, so I hopped in and got all 3's signatures.  Even though I'm not much of an Edwards fan...  I asked him a couple questions.

How much is a GP bike?  Edwards says, "a few million, then add in a few more million for all the parts swapping, testing and human labor."

Do you like the 990 or 800 better?  Edwards says without hesitation, "800!!!  Much more user freindly."

Then I spent some time comparing the GSXR750 and 675triple to see if I could pick one over the other.  Hopefully I'll be getting a 2nd bike soon as a trackday bike and canyon carver.

Very tough to pick.  GSXR is more comfortable above the waist, 675 is more comfortable below the waist.  GSXR best all around.  675 brakes and chasis more track oriented and 675 is a little more exotic.  hmmmmm  This might come down to ease of service and colors

The black and blue is the color I like on the GSXR.

For the 675 it'll be either the gold or red.  Have to see them in person to decide.

Went over and drooled over some MV Augustas....

Bought some anti-fog spray and wax.  Its called zooke.

Then headed home.

Anybody else go from SoCal??

I saw the bike show here in Phoenix. It was held in the cardinals stadium and unfortunataly they were getting the stadium ready for a rolling stones concert. So... The bike show wasen't all could have been. Saw some interesting stuff though.

I saw the 675 for the first time yesterday at the dealer. I really like it. But I like the GXXR 750 too. Why the GXXR over the 675. Charles, after seeing the 675 yesterday I really like it. But not having ridden either the GXXR 750 or the 675 I really don't know anything about either on of them, except for what I've read. Which one would you pick and why. Ba Busa, you said GXXR or the 675. Why would you not pick the 675 and why the GXXR.

Gixxer 750 is probably the BEST all around track bike you could buy

It's faster than the 675 and costs much less to maintain and repair than the 675...mods are more available and less $$$

Yeah, its a hard choice.  I've got some time if and when I get to buy a 2nd bike.

Based on reviews, the GSXR750 is the best all aorund.  But the 675 has better brakes and chasis for the track.  I think I fit better on the 675, but the 750 is still comfortable.

GSXR probably has cheaper parts and easier to work on, while the 675 is more of an exotic.

Definately these colors for the GSXR.

You met Edwards? Wow. Must be cool to get a GP rider's autograph! Sounds awesome! When I went to the AMA Championships last year, I got signatures from Ben Spies, Mat Mladin and Miguel Duhamel - but none of them had time (and except for Ben - the desire) to talk to anyone really.

I would love to just sit down with one of them one day and talk riding!

The guy behind me started talking it big with the Bostroms, so that gave me the chance to ask a couple questions. Colin actually seemed to appreciate that someone wanted to talk MotoGP rather than AMA. I think the Bostroms were getting much more attention
