And to think that a bunch of those guys go to Laguna. At one time, I had plans of going up on that hill they camp out in and introducing myself and inquiring about a few choice individuals I was dying to meet. But I came to my senses!

I do have a classic story about my last experience with that board. Some of you guys may remember about a year ago that big fire that occured in a dance club in Chicago. There was only one staircase down, and a bunch of people (black) got killed. Well a bunch of those guys used the opportunity to promote their hatred and made jokes about it and questioned why all these "N's" were out on a Sunday night....Said that they were spending their welfare checks etc. Well being from Chicago, I was familiar with this club and I got into a big debate with these idiots. I explained to them that it was a holiday weekend, and all city, government and many private businesses were going to be closed that Monday. I also made a big point of telling them that such tragedies have no color and that this could happen any where in the world. They told me I was full of crap and that only black people would be so stupid as to be in a club with limited egress. And only black people would be so stupid as to panic like that and trample each other. etc, etc etc.

Well as a tragic coincidence, it was like the very next day when that big fire occured at a club in CT. This time it was a rock concert, and the club was filled with white people. Of course the same thing happened, and many people died. Those LA_ _ _ _ _ jags looked so stupid. For once, they were speachless (almost). Death and tragedy wasn't funny to them anymore. One of them even asked if I started the fire to prove my point.

Well I never went back to that site again. It is a waste of time. You just can't reason people out of blind hatred.

Yeah I know I'm all talk, but here in FLA---"Fuggin Lower Alabama" I see alot of Racial BS and It hits me at home... I hear it and I see it, it's embarrasing... I've 86'd 3 buddies so far down here because of their racial baggage... It's like I meet a couple a guys from work, we go play some golf, then I guess my "Whiteness" has been confirmed in their little minds and suddenly here comes some N..... This N..... that...bullshit. Real damned funny when I introduce them to my Father In Law... Blows my mind... Fugging I get a lot more heated about this sh!d than He does... I take it personally, I take it as an insult to intelligence, to fuggin humanity if I am going to be dramatic about it... I just never experianced the sort of crap I see down here. poop like this just wasn't as common in Colorado... It just gets to me...

I learned racial equality from one of the best men I knew, my (departed) father, and I grow up in some tough times (60's) when it comes racial equality.  My dad really believed in what he preached.  All faiths , colors creeds where in and out of our home as friends, whe I was growing up.  I am happy to say that my sons practice this same harmony.  So I did something right.  I know that their sons and(or) daughtes will even be better at harmony then me. Eventually if we keep this up geneation to generation all the way around, nobody will remember the term DIFFERENT. The people who want to remember in a negative way will be weeded out of our society.

Again we see the importance of "Great Fathers"...not daddys, but fathers.  Anyone can be a daddy, but it takes a man to be a father.  Good on your ole man NE and you for continuing as he tought you.

Wish I was as optimistic about the "different" people being wedged out of society.  It seems that the human race is destined to fear/hate whatever is "most different" from the norm.  It truely saddens me to think that in 2004 after 9/11 things are getting back to normal.  Whether people know it or not 9/11 was God's way of shaking the U.S. into realizing our safety comes from him and not our military or intelligence.  To forget about silly differences and get on one accord with him and the body of Christ. I was living in Greensboro, NC at the time and it was beautiful (at such a tragic time) to ride down main streets and see people of all ethnic backgrounds having candle light ceremonies holding hands and crying and praying TOGETHER.  There are people with the potential to be powerful men/women of God but are going to be the equivalent of bunker bombs in hell, because they can't get past the color barrier.  I thank God for everyone I've met and while myself being prejudice (pre-judge we all do this everyday regardless of race or genetic makeup) and can honestly say I love everyone regardless of their race.  Thank God for peace of mind to know we're not so limited/restricted.  I just hope and pray it doesn't take another 9/11 or worse to shake people again.

I once heard a saying that the only way to eliminate racism was to kill off everyone over the age of 5...........

I dunno, I have a different theory... It's going to take awhile, But here in the US especially I see it. Everyone Mixed up together. No more Black, white, tan, etc.

My Sister in Law is an amazing B&W mix, gets the best of both worlds, my nephew, is Black, Hispanic, White, and Native American.... My friend lisa, White and hispanic. The Airman I whooped into shape back at Offutt, Black and Korean... His son, Black, White and Korean... So I am thinking the term Melting Pot is going to take on a whole new meaning. Also, I notice everyday allmost that in the High Schools and Junior Highs around here I see a lot more Groups standing around that are all mixed up Black, White, Hispanic, all hanging out together, not allways broken off into little groups... That gives me some hope... I think the youth today, for all the hell I give them for there shortcomings are starting to see skin tone less and less as a factor... Maybe we'll all be OK after all...
