hi im new to this site and i have a tl1000s but i want a sport bike that is better for long rides and i was wondering how cumfy the busa is i want that sport touring feel and i wanted to know how were is the best place to by one used.

The Busa is hands down the most comfortable "Sportbike" that you will find. Does that answer your question?

I've wondered how the TL "feels". What made you decide on a TLS versus the TLR?

I digress.... just do it! Get the Busa...you can't go wrong w/ the purchase. She'll be all you want and more (unless you want to hover 30 feet in the air or something).

Also, the search button (next to the members and help button at the top right of the page) works wonders. You have to be patient and press it gently but it works.

Post some pics of your TL too!

I am going to disagree with the masses on this one.

The Hayabusa was made "with a single minded purpose, to be the fastest production motorcycle on the planet" to quote a popular video that I think was captured from The Learning Channel.

It is not comfortable. It is smooth, it is fast, it moves down the street like it is hunting and it commands this sort of respect (if not dismay) from sport and cruiser bikes alike and all the kids (and chicks in ricers) will wave and stare. It is a looker, it is the best vehicle in my now crowded shop. But to call it "comfortable"... cant do that. An M14 is not a comfortable weapon for long term battle duty either but for a short fight.... give me one and I'll stack'em up for ya.

If you want comfort they make a ton of bikes that you can buy and pull that off - stick your feet out front and lean back on a cushy rest, turn on the console stereo, set the cruise control and watch the world go by.... slowly.

The Busa is (to me) a predator / the motorcycle equivalent of a fighter jet.
And I love to take it places!

Hey! I came from the tls ranks as well. Loved that cranky bioch, it was a fun bike! Actually, I'd like to have my 01' tls back AND the busa. However, if it was one or the other, it's busa all the way.

I own a TL1000R as well as my busa, the busa is much more comfy for the long rides.Dont have the seat heat transfer problems like the tl's either.I guess the best way to describe it is its not nearly as much work to ride as the tl's.The busa just has so much power, handles with ease, and is comfy for me at 6'5" 285.The only minor downside seems to be the brakes,it doesnt seem to stop as quick as the tillers, but my busa still has stock brakelines and pads,so maybe with some stainless lines and new pads they will improve.just my .02.

I cant agree anymore!
And yes,it is a predator just lurking for a fight!
But I dont find it too uncomfortable.

I think the busa is like one of those crazy people with dual personalities. If you want it can be comfortable to cruise around at slow speeds and just enjoy the slow ride.If however going at 180+ is what you plan on doing then its perfect for that too.Just be careful. This one is going to send you to the funeral home pretty fast if you dont respect it.Be careful with it and learn and youll never be disappointed with your purchase.

Am I the only one who thinks a TLR is comfortable. I sold mine because I didn't think that I wanted to keep two bikes. Boy was I wrong. The tlr and busa are the most comfortable bikes that I've ever had. (Never had a cruiser.)

I did 1000 mile days on my TLR, so NO, your not the only one who thought it was comfortable
