Everything is locked in, now.

Oct. 26 I'm picking up the Budget rental truck and then hitting the road on the 27th. I'll be towing my car and sticking the motorcycle inside the truck (hope it doesn't tip!). I'll arrive sometime in LA on Sunday afternoon or evening and I'll get a hotel. Then starting on Monday I'll be apt. hunting (if I haven't found one before then oline). I just need to get a place before Nov. 3rd because that's when the truck is due to be turned in in N. Hollywood. So from Oct. 27 - early Nov. I'll be out of commission (no net).

I had an apartment I was going to take but I changed my mind... being smart... because $1,300 is too much for a studio apartment. I know I can get something better. So... I'm constantly looking online!

I hope to ride with and/or meet a few LA area owners when I'm out there.

Yep, Apartments are spendy out here...

In Hollywood itself, they'll be very spendy... too many aspiring actors. (And most of it's not great area.) Very small place, no place to park your bike much less a car. Do you have friends out here? Moving this way because of a job or could you live in a less expensive area? If you need to stay close to hollywood proper, I'd bet Los Felis area would be a bit better than most on that side of the hill. West side will be even more expensive.

Prices drop outside of Hollyweird areas. I'm in Pomona and own a house for less than what your rent will be. If I would have know, I could have gotten you a truck for much less maybe as I work for PENSKE. PM me if interested. (Work in Anaheim)

Gated... hmm... I'd guess you'll want to drive around a bit and explore.

Have you been there before? I think you should look at North-East Hollywood then. Like...East of Highland and just below Franklin... the farther Eash, the better.

I lived in LA for about 7 years so I know the area. When I say gated, I mean an apartment with a covered and gated garage for security reasons... no street parking only.

My first apartment was on Beachwood Drive (2200) ... the road that lets you see the Hollywood sign as you're driving north on it. I also lived on N. Wilcox in Hollywood. And... in Reseda (3 months only) and Woodland Hills. I want to live back in 'the mix' of Hollywood again. I loved it. So that's what I want again.

I will! No doubt! I'll be speeding down Sunset Blvd... that is a given...

I love the ride from Hollywood to Malibu down Sunset.... it's a classic ride, even though it's full of traffic. I actually know a dude who lives up in Malibu... so I have a real reason to go there and hit pch other than just to ride the beach strip. He lives right next to Gary Busey! LOL!

I also look forward to meeting up w/ fellow .org members who are in the LA area! I can't wait!!!

hope the move goes well-if not, I can always Park Amy's 300 in Storage and set you up in the garage- 'course, weather here in WI aint the best for folks who live in garages that arent heated!!
