Lottery winner still uses food stamps...

And some poor guy out there gets laid off, looking for work, needs to feed his kids, runs out of money and the states won't give the honest guy a dime.Which is what the system was designed to do. :banghead:

Our broke system. just keep throwing $$ at it.

Why would there not be a check and balance, on anyone who is on assistance, on their income?

Did that girl not pay tax on that $500k?

You shouldn't be disgusted or surprised. Over 700K in medicare benefits paid to dead people last year. Fraud in the entitlement systems isn't new.

But she won that money, she didn't earn it. She should be able to enjoy her winnings:whistle:

From my dunce stool :cookoo:

About this stoopid...

Wow, I don't know who to blame on this one, but I am leaning more toward the person who has $500,000.00 dollars a new car and 2 houses!

A fool and his/her money will soon be parted and when that happens, unless she has paid back the assistance she got over the years she should not be able to reapply for them ever.

She knew she got the money just as she knew she got help when needed.

Even if she thought she was going to be cut off she should have been too embarrassed to try to use that thing after the fact.

A simple phone call to say hey I don't require assistance any more would have one the trick.

She has no honor and therefore gets no sympathy from me.

There are a lot of broke lottery winners. I personally knew the sister of a woman that hit the Ga lottery for $2mil. This was before the lump sum option and is paid out over 20 years coming to $100K a year.

Within three years they were bankrupt. Bought a near million dollar house, cars, the works. They were on food stamps before and went right back on them.

Sad but true. That much money at one shot goes as fast as it comes.

Send it to me instead. Besides a new S1000RR and a boatload of trackdays I'll still have it!

A gang banger in LA prison for murder made 30K in unemployment last year
