Lower triple tree question for Gen 2

So i have lowering triple tree but not sure if the top of my forks should be push up higher out the tripple tree or should they be kind flush with the lowering triple tree. Looking to only lower the front 3/4 for a 2 gen. So if any one have pics of what there top of there triple tree looks like at 3/4 with caps off.

how thick is your lowering triple? I just measured the thickness and added or subtracted the distance until the fork came out of the triple. I have a roaring toyz lowering triple which is about 3/4 thick so I just set them even with the top of the new triple.
