Lowering the front option?

I’m researching ways to lower my Gen 3 .
Lowering links in the back for sure.
For the front my local dealer suggested just loosening the triple tree clamps and letting the forks come up as far as possible. This is instead of a lowering triple tree which is a lot more work.
Anyone ever lower their bike this way?

Don't think you'll get much or any doing it that way. You can get the HTP lowering handlebars, or a different triple clamp. The HTP are really nice and look factory.

Here’s a photo of my forks now. It looks like the forks could come up about an inch before they hit the triple tree.
The bike has Helibar risers which were on the bike when I bought it.
The 1 inch space may have been created when they were installed.

Ah hah! Yes, you can drop them just over an inch with that riser installed. That's how I did mine without having to get a different bar or clamp setup. And you get to retain some ergonomics with the riser.
