OK, So I lowered my bike and love it. I can finally touch the ground enought to push her backwards

.

Anyway, here is my delema. I lowered the front with a new tree. Now, the resovoirs hit the dash panel when I turn.

What have you guys done for this?? Any help or recomendations would be great.

free bump, this shouldn't be a big problem, but I'm sure someone that conquered this problem will chime in.

I guess it depends on how much you lowered it and what tree you went with as to if this shoulda been a problem to start.
You may be able to get an offset handlebar, but that defeats the purpose of dropping it in the first place.

Same problem with mine , I like my levers angled down a bit , but cant because of the new tree being a bit higher , am looking at some other options as we speek.... no luch so far , may look at shaving down the resiovors or the caps or both a bit to give more clearance

I had a shop install mine and afterwards he asked me where did I get it from. He went on to say mine is the first he ever installed that didn't hit the panels. I then checked my girl's Busa and sure enough, it hit.

I guess I just got lucky.

For those interested, I bought mine from a seller named:

different top clamps will put a different pitch on the bars.

Mine levers hit the inner panels when the bars are turned all the way in

Luckily I only turn the bars at low speeds.

You could try adjusting the angle of your levers - in your case up. A while back I had a similar issue with my Pazzo's hitting my screen.

sounds like the tripple tree is off. Either adjust your levers (rotating/sliding) to try and get a little more clearance. The other options is to get a clamp that's retains the stock bars mount angles.

I wanted a new upper triple tree and ordered it, but didnt realize that its actually to lower the bike so the forks come through

I dont want to lower the bike, but the problem is I have this huge 1/2" hole to the top of the forks... will catch rain and debris for sure

my question is there some sort of cap I can get to cover this...something polished or chrome

if anyones a machinist and has the talent to make something with some sort of o-ring that I can pop in and pop out as needed, perhaps something with a lip to be able to pry off for access

If you cant picture what Im talking about ill try and load some pics

will pay for the caps if anyone can manufacture it

thanks
