My neighbor had his '92 CBR 600 F2 stolen this week. This prompted me to move my 'Busa to another buddies house to be locked in his garage with his FZR 1000R.I don't have a garage,so I need some input on alarms and other security measures.I have many firearms, but I can't stay awake 24/7 waiting to shoot the B*****DS.

I can't bring it in the house(mobile home).I'm going to talk to the park owner to see if I can place a storage shed in back and keep it locked in there(Fingers and toes crossed). Can't figure out why they stole an F2 instead of a Busa next door.M/C cover worked this time I guess.Out of site out of mind.I had a '90 GSXR 1100 stolen in an apartment complex I used to live in.Darned near did me in.Don't want to feel like that ever again.

Gorilla makes a nice, inexpensive motorcycle alarm. I have had a few different alarms in my day, but I am most satisfied with this one. It retails for about $90. Well worth it!

I got the scorpio with the perimeter sensor. The sensor works unless the person going to steal it knows it's on there and moves very slowly to get to the bike. But even then if he just touches it, the alarm goes off. It's a tad expensive though. If you search the board there were some great ideas about buying a car alarm and using a smaller horn.

I also got the Scorpio with pager system (haven't added a perimeter sensor yet) which usually retails for $375+. I found a place that has them for $309 plus like $10 shipping ($15 shipping for 3 day UPS to California). If you're interested, you can get them at www.accessoryinternational.com.

Use DataTag here in the UK. Dunno if it's available in the US. Kinda has to be fitted to get any insurance over here...
