Fiited M4 exhaust system with oval carbon race can. Stock the bike made 154bhp and with the system alone 165bhp, 11bhp.With BMC air filter and air box mod 169bhp,a total of 15bhp.Carried out on a Dyno-jet 150 dyno.
The M4 is a very nice system with taper headers and is of good quality.
Dyno sheets are available.

Please add me to list for the Dyno Charts! If possible send stocker as well. I have not seen any other charts except motorcycle onlines comparison of the blackbird and hayabusa. PLEASE send to babohann@us.ibm.com

Lee S. had also suggested he had several charts on his site - but I don't see them. Can get to the site - but....

I have a M4 on my R1. I was a little dissapointed with the polish when I received it but I sanded - then buffed to brilliant shine. M4 is a good company to deal with - I discussed this with them - having acknowledged the pipe I purchased was a closed course only item. M4 (Robert) suggested he would dig thru box to find best looking and forward. He also said he hadn't encountered that complaint before.
But I'm a poser.

Sorry for not sending out the dyno sheets yet, scanner problems.I will send them as soon as.
Busadan. Was the M4 included in those dyno tests done by Lee?

Coop,
No the M4 was not involved in Lee's test.
1. Akro one HP over Muzzy at Max RPM
2. Muzzy one HP over Akro In Mid range
3. Yosh
4. Micron
5. Mcdade I've never heard of Mcdade.
Lee's original post did not give HP numbers.
There are suppose to be dyno-charts on Lee's site. I have never been able to find them.

Lee did no remapping with his comparison...not much of a test in my book. Would anyone want to buy a pipe that did nothing to the jetting...plus he had no ramair on his dyno...how about different can shapes..round...oval...packing or not...see what I mean....not much of a test except if you want to justify your purchase or opinion.

Lee tested pipes, not PC IIs or the Yosh box. When Sportrider did their pipe test they used no PCII or Yosh box. They used a fuel injected GSXR750. They wanted to test pipes not tuning kits so they let the fuel injection adjust to the pipe as much as possible. Sure you can get more HP by tuning to a pipe with the PCII or the Yosh box. I think Lee's test was straightforward and to the point. Afterall his results seem to be in line with most other pipe results I have seen. Akro and now Muzzy always seem to be on top no matter what tuning tricks are used. I am not trying to flame cbxchris, just a different opinion.

the stock bikes run a mixture of about 14.5 to 15to1 and just changing this is good for a few horse my 99 without balancer and airboxmod stock pipes gets 165 hp avg.so this gives a good measurement of what remapping etc.can do.it only made 152 stock.and it runs at 12.8 to 13.4 to1 depending on the rpm because i try to fatten it up at certain rpms and it puts out 102# torque.

Lee caught some heat from some manufactors for his test...better have your act together now days when you go making claims that you can`t prove.

Have to agree with CBXCHRIS, without fuel adjustments there is not much to what HP readings are being generated. Seems that the worse the system does without adjustment, usually means it it a significantly different piece then stock, and may (or may not) give the best "after" results. Only something close to stock will look good with the stock fuel curve...

BTW - I am almost sure that the Sport Rider test did use the PCII, with only one try at adjusting since they were limited on time...
