magneto cover

my bike fell and magneto cover pinched,, i unbolted the cover and found the magneto and a sensor bolted to it,, should i replace all these or just the cover?

what do you mean by pinched? does the mag and sensor look hurt?

It's a stator on the Busa, but it depends on any damage. Do a search on stator, I hear if you're not careful you can get a nasty finger pinch.

If the internals are still in sound order and appear undamaged then you can swap them into a new cover..
Dadofthree is right BE CAREFUL putting it back on as when you go to put it on the huge magnets will suck it on QUICK!
Any skin or fingertips over the edge of the cover will get smooshed.

it looks ok for me from the inner side,, maybe i need to take the magneto off the cover to inspect the other side,, its pinched and had a hole and let all the oil out,,

When you take it off you'll have to pull it a bit as the magnets will hold it on there.

i didn't know that the cover is attracted too,,

It's not the cover it's the parts attached to inside that once they get close to other parts on bike they get sucked together by magnetism.

There are three bolts and two screws that take the stator and pickup off the cover itself.

Get you a new cover and gasket, transfer the parts and you are good to go

Khalid if the wire is similar to a GenII it is held into a slot on the cover by a rubber bushing. This bushing slides up and off the cover. Then you can unscrew the parts from inside as Ludicrous says and swap them into a new cover. Make sure it all goes together same way as it came out.

When you remove the cover snap a few pics of the parts inside and how they look so you can refer back to them once parts are out and going back into new cover.

Yep, forgot the thread locker. Had a friend have one back out one time. Luckily, all it did was make a racket
