Why would you break down the engine? You can check the health of an engine with tools, I'd recommend often oil changes and sparks plugs. Do a fuel filter change once a year also. Upgrade your cush drives also.
How much hp? And do you strictly drag race? Or is it street only?
rods and mains can be tough to get a feel for their wear without looking at the bearings
Comp test, leak down and Oil Pressure verification can't always tell you ifit is gonna huck a rod bearing next heat cycle/Pass/Road Mile
Then pretty much as a stock bike with more maintenance intervals. I like hi flow oil filters and t6 10-40 shell, was cheaper and good oil. Don't forget to gap plugs smaller and if you are able check valves at recommend intervals or pay someone. If you take it to the strip do an oil change after. I did coolant flushes every year and ran engine ice.
