This is more for newbies but may give some of the ole heads something to think about also...

If you have plans for major mods coming up...Consider scheduling the word during the end of the riding season...Even if you have a competent mechanic you should allow for time to also work the kinks out...I'm talking about big bores, turbos and major nos applications...During the riding season is the worst time to have a major mod done...This doesn't apply of course to members that can do the work themselves...Also have a good plan and have access to all the parts you may need for your application...I other words do your homework so it will be easier for the work to be done...Just a little ups...

good call stunnah im not pulling the engine out to sent the frame off to get chromed until after biketoberfest hopefully it will be back together for bike week in march

That is the same time frame I've always used. Octoberfest to Bike Week.

Down side for me is the winter months are the best shows. They are the indoor cash shows. The summer stuff is the ride in trophy shows. I can't win.

Before I get beat up, I have bikes I show more than I ride and bikes I ride. No I'm not missing the riding season, entirely.
