I doubt this will sway the closed minded but it is a very good read. It is to long to post so this is the link:

If you a regular listener\viewer of FOX News, don't bother, it is probably more than you are accoustomed to reading and they used big words.

Okay, so what politician is honest?

Answer: None.

Disclaimer: I didn't read the whole thing. I'm just tired of reading more and more crap about politicians which sounds the same every time I read it.

I did give you fair warning about the length of the article.

egads man... so anyone that does not take your point of view here is "Close Minded" (keeping in mind that the source of this article is a bunch of 60's pot smoking, acid dropping, fried brain specials (this is your brain on drugs)....

on a long stretch of the imagination.... perhaps an old theory I have...

if someone repeatedly accuses you of something, I tend to turn that suspicion around in the opposite direction...

seems to have not let me down at this point in life... (50 years of practice at this)

Punch of crap out there including this. Very sad when either side just points the fingers, and lies from alll sides become facts, because all of us believe what we read.

Wait I am not saying that if you disagree you are close minded. I do not believe having a different point of view than me make anyone close minded. However, if FOX is your ONLY source of disinformation then you may be close minded.

I recommend getting your dis-information from various sources to prevet being close minded.

Of course you making statements like: " (keeping in mind that the source of this article is a bunch of 60's pot smoking, acid dropping, fried brain specials (this is your brain on drugs)...." Colud lead to the opinion that you are not open to other points of view.

So.. the only "fact" that I gained from that article was that he said a sideways comment about "getting laid" after being married..
Also.. he was a POW. If you think you can go back in time and take the torture with out offering a confession, feel free. No confession given in duress means anything anyway, say what you want, all the military asks is that you hold out as long as possible (not their exact words).
The idea that someone is bringing up the fact that he got an assignment in Rio and took it instead of the middle east, does not make him any less of a man in my book.. I know I would much rather have spent 28 months in Rio instead of Iraq, I just didn't have the choice. How about you worry about the political/economic policies that the candidates are offering up and stop slinging more mud. I can't even watch TV anymore without seeing multiple smear commercials from both sides of the table. I watched Jay Leno, and there was a 4 commercial break... 3 were smears on candidates, and only one was an actual commercial representing policies that a candidate wanted to offer up. America should be ashamed of themselves. In the 2004 elections, 90% of the candidates advertisements were smears(random internet fact, but from what I've seen this year, it's probably pretty close), and only 10% represented actual views without harping on the opposing side.

Just my personal view.. I spend more time sorting out the BS smears to get to the actual facts of the direction they want to take this country. There is no such thing as an unbiased source, so look for facts, and watch different media outlets, and try to ignore the stuff from the past unless it greatly affects their current views.

Actually the military's policy changed after Vietnam. At the time McCain was in prison it was still very firm about not talking. Also the discussion was with another POW who didn't talk and it had to do with McCain doig whatever he had to in order to benefit himself not whether or not it had anything to do with his manhood.

The point of looking back was to establish a patteren of behavior that remains consistant and thus can be applied to how he will act in the future: In his own best interest rather than that of the country. One could make the same claim of Obama, I am sure.

One could make the same point of Obama, but the fact is that the past is the past. Unless he has an outstanding felony charge against him, isn't a citizen of the United States, or Molests little children, then I think I'd rather spend my time checking out their plans for our future.

Sorry if I came off as harsh, all the smears commercials are really ruining my Tv viewing experience :)

Hey you may want to look at FactCheck.org many of the claims in the article are facts backed up by the site. Also there are many more deceptions by the McCain camp than the Obama camp. This makes sence and confirms the patteren of behavior addressed in the article. Which is why we should look at the past. Even McCain says: "Look at my record".

I am very concerned about his plans for the future. If he has distorted so much from the past why should I think he is being truthful about his plans for the future?

If you are a McCain supporter do not go to FactCheck.org

Yes, we should look at the past

Hannity's America - FOXNews.com

Any true blooded American who cares about the United States should look at this video and realize we cannot have Obama in office.

If you dont want McCain in office, fine, vote for an independant, or dont vote. but do not vote for Obama

Please take a look at FactCheck.org (Thanks to the guy who mentioned it)

FactCheck.org: "He Lied" About Bill Ayers?

Thank you for making my point about Fox News. Hannity is a disgrace to journalism, but then again he is a good entertainer.

From what I've seen, fact check backs up all their information with facts, and doesn't go after anything they can't proove. I will not even mention which candidate I am voting for, as I don't think it matters that much what my personal preference is, just that people check their facts and let go of certain smears that either aren't true, or shouldn't affect the presidential race. Everyone, do the US a favor, and make an "informed" decision.

aww are you familiar with Rolling Stone? (I was around when they were created)

man you just don't get it...
you call everyone Else's sources "Dis-information" what makes you think you have a reliable source? what would make them the empirical source of data you seek?

you need to stop and "respect" others values and ideas.. you seem to have this notion that you are the only guy in the world that has this "credible" information... "dis-ing" Fox, CNN or any other venue is ridiculous..

They all get their information from the same places and interpret and report it with their own slant... However, if you go to Rolling stone/ ebony/ or any other obviously biased publication, they are going to print what ever they feel their reader wants to see, this applies to liberal or conservative... (knock knock anyone home?)

you gotta step back and see the forest ... I think you have a tree in your way...

there is a much larger image here that you are missing...

I have already heard from both sides that "I cant vote for him, he is not black" and "I cant vote for him because he is black"

I think your focus is misdirected... to busy reading what everyone else "thinks" and are missing what you should be finding out on your own..

I am so sick of all this biased hatred coming from the liberal media (and it is rubbing off on the liberal common person) and no, I do not expect you to see this part either... is part of the problem...

I see a couple outcomes.. but the bottom line is this... a black guy or a white guy is going to win the talking head position... not Obama or Mccain.. that is the reality of it all.... (and it is the liberal minority that has made it this way)

What the heck have I said that is disrespectful?

Please do not confuse dis-agree with disrespect.

I check the facts where I can. For example the Hannity piece mentioned above if full of mis-information. The ad he talks about is full of mis-information. Don't take my word for it check it out on fact check.

I was acknowledging that all the networks seem to be putting out dis-information rather than reporting the news. That is why it is important to go to places like Fact Check. I don't care if it comes from Rolling Stone or the National Review I am going to check the facts to the best of my ability.

The real scary thing is the you would label it "Liberal Hatred" before checking into it.
