Manifold wrap

While doing the PAIR valve removal (what a pain), I thought since I have a few things apart, maybe I'd try wrapping the manifold with heat tape (to reduce heat disapation from exhaust in the engine area). I have heard opposing opinions stating it can trap moisture causing rusting issues, and maybe even cracking the pipes due to lack of heat disapation?

I was thinking of doing this on the stock headers.

Anyone have experience? Advice?
