mapping without a power commander

so a buddy told me there is a way to "map" your busa without using a power commander, he claims there's a cable you can buy and plug right into the "brain" on my busa and send the "map" directly to it that way......

anyone ever heard of this? if so please enlighten me, with any and all the info you may have.

its called ecu flashing. google and search here are your friend to find a wealth of information. we have a guy here that makes and sells the kits, his name is greg his screename is smithabusa. hes a site sponsor as well, his website is boostbysmith.com.

its really growing fast and has a number of benefits and options that are really nice. only problem i have with it is, not really a capable tuner locally. i dont wanna pay dyno time while they figure it out. its not really something for me. but its excellent for those with someone capable within their region.

petrik and a couple other guys have been working on it and developing it into a really advanced system. greg has made a thread here that shows some of the capability in it by making power on a turbo bike with no problems at higher boost levels, and 0 added components to the bike, tuning wise.
