you must run a clutch mod, you will never launch the thing. What bhp do you think your making? keep it up. if you have a bore scope check your pistons for detonation.
 
seb my 1/8 mile mph was 123.i inspected the plugs and no silver specs at all and no audable detination on the dyno or the road.i may get a sysmic sensor hooked up one day to record rthe motors frequencies under ideal tuneing situations etc .so i can tell when i push the edge.as far as respect goes.why do you think i ran a high 9 on this bike?i'm learning its reactions its charactor.hell my old kz made over 300 at the rear wheel.i ran 160 in the 1/4 at 920s 10 years ago on my street bike and have the utmost respect for power levels reaching this level.it is no longer a toy but a guided projectile.
 
motorhead, all I can say is: try not to kill yourself. Respect the power you have at your disposal. And respect your mortality too.

I don't mean to be negative, but when you are hitting the rev limiter with an 18 tooth, things can happen (fido decides to cross the road, your rear Dunlop retires from active duty)...

Anyways, keep on posting the sick details. I'm sure we will all listen.

Man, is my Busa ever slow. Pedestrian even.
 
Canuck, he told me yesterday that the Busa is slow compared to some of his old bikes...

Besides, what would one expect from someone called themotorhead? Pure, unadulterated insanity I think. :)

**** i only got 2 passes and ran 980s at 164 tonight with a 4 over arm.almost stalled the thing once with the cluch being different and all.i am also not nunning any kind of clutch mod just the hd springs.i need some saddle time thats for sure.although i did hit the rev limiter in 6th on the way home with the 18 tooth front sprocket.
 
frank;i am serious with my STREET BIKE and i do not want a long freight train to cruise around town on.the bike hooks hard once moveing and thats good enough for me.i want a bike that rides and handles good.and one i do nothing to but ride.frank it will flip yoou over in 3rd so fast you would not know what hit ya.
 
I think 10 inches is perfect for a awesome track and a good tire with a turbo....

WoW! Good top speed. I just went +5 on high.. Hope I get 165 next time out but I got 50 lbs on you. Just hooked up the airshifter and I want to buy one of those quick kill boxes that you sell, also I am going to gut the tail section so I can run the shock and maybe hook better. I am expecting to run in the 8's
 
4" over arm.....is that a 0 to 4" over? if it is, set her at 60" and bring it to MIR's shootout on sept. 17th... i would love to see what she can do set at 60".....
