MECHANICAL TROUBLE SHOOTING

Someone told me that the Busas typically have to have their rear bushing replaced and that I would probably have to replace them every 3 months. (I rode 9000 miles in the last 3 months)

Also, I heard that the clutch plates always need to be replaced and that would be a $600 investment on a regular basis.

Is this happening to other Busas?

Nope, rear bushings are good and the clutch if not abused is strong also, never heard of either of these issues being a "regular" problem, if at all.

Who ever told you that prob doesn't own a Busa. All the complatints I get like "Busa's are too heavy to corner" or "they corner like Poop" are from people that have never riden a Busa or have never been on a Motorcycle.

< No issues here.

What is your definition of abused? I am very easy on my clutch and could probably be accused of easing out the clutch when starting. Could that attribute to the problem? The previous owner road the bike hard for 23,000 miles, but did not wheelie it. I know he often hit the rev limiter, but the bike is in excellent shape and knowing him I know he used the machine, but did not abuse the machine.

If I knew that someone "often hit the rev limiter", I might have some very slight apprehension.

I just responded in your other post where people are feeding you a pile of sh!t. You really need to stop listening to whomever is feeding it to you, because all they are trying to do is kill your excitement an enjoyment of having just bought the best all around motorcycle on the planet. You know, its the same one their wives won't allow them to buy. Stop playing into their sick, twisted, petty little game and ride it like you stole it.

And if these guys are your fiends, find new friends.

No problems with my baby. Changed the cluth because I wanted to not because of a need. The bike is built to be rode, if you want to cruise, or intiate flight

Dont listen to all these guys. I keep having to do all kind of stuff to my Busa. Just this year I had to change the oil three times, put gas into the fuel tank, flush the coolant, flush the brake/clutch fluids, wash it, put more gas into the fuel tank, check the air pressure, wash it, um.....put more gas into it?

Hmm....
