Someone please explain Methanol to me. As far as everything, up to and including use in top fuel dragsters and such. If you could please present it in a "for dummies" format as I know next to nothing about motors. Just have been seeing/hearing it thrown around alot lately, and am ABSOLUTELY clueless as to everything about it. Thanks in advance.

I know from running it in my Camaro bracket car that it uses twice as much to make the same power, since it has a lower BTU. It also runs very cool, which shortens the cooldown time between passes. You cannot just run it in a bike, as you have to have a fuel system that is capable of resisting the corrosive properties. It is very resistant to detonation as well

Methanol is different than Ethanol. Ethanol is made from corn or grain, and Methanol is a byproduct of making fuel-oil, I believe.
