Metzeler 210/50-17 Whos running one?

Well I'm still waiting on the mail man with my taxes so I can begin buying parts so I can have new mods for the summer and a different look also. I was wondering if anyone was running a 210/50-17 on their busa, with the stock wheel. I've been looking at the tire for some time and I'm just wondering will it fit or will I have clearance problems. I also have a Gann racing 10-14" adjustible swingarm. Let me know what you guys think.

Don't think it will fit. I am running a 200 Avon and it just barely clears my chain and I mean barely. I am also running a Trac 0-6 extended swingarm. You can try it and see, but don't think so. That is my .02

Hope you can actually see that. Let me know if you would like some more and I'll take my time when I actually take them. The chain looks nasty but that is actually white grease. Just put on a new EK Black ZVX2 chain...thanks Charles! (Street & Track)

I live up near Greensboro, NC you guys would love it because on Saturdays and Sundays all the bikes from surounding areas come to Sonic and post up. Somtimes it'll be 50 to 60 bikes in one parking lot. And for the tire maybe I'll check out some kind of 200.

What I want to know is what any one would want to put any thing over a 190/55/17 on their busa mess up the twisties with anything bigger than that

I dont have pics but me and 3 of my club members run the 210 tire. Thay have SuperBikeMike swingarms and I have welded up extensions. It will fit with no rubbing ,You may have to trim stock chainguard.

Don't see how, but maybe it is the tire brand? If it isn't the tire then maybe after market rims w/cush drive. All I know is with a stock rim, cush drive, and 530 chain there is no way I would be able to run a 210 tire. Maybe if I had a offset sprocket or a jackshaft.

I am running a 200 with stock rims and there is very little clearance. .02

I know of a guy here in Garysburg, NC now that runs one on his busa and I got a close look at it. The chain is grinding the crap out of that tire. I asked him how was it? He said if that tire is not good and straight in there it will rubb and if the chain slackens on ya good it will do it then too. I seen a 240 kit doing the same thing. That's when I lost all intrest in doing any of those mods.

I will be here till April 15. I might make a trip to Greensboro or some where to a track before I leave. Maybe I will run into a fellow member.

I have a guy at the shop runnin the Metzler 210 on a RC51 and he loves it. Just so you know. The 210 is rated as ZR tires and holds the road pretty well. He is pushin his to about the last 3 mill of clearance and Im suprised at how well it does.

Now if it fits on a busa......Thats another question. I know I have a 200 on mine but there isnt much room anything else in there.
