just want to hear opinions about these tires before i order. i have 208's on right now and never had a problem with them. just wanted to try something different, but i dont want to get bad tires.

I had 208s on my bike for a few thousand miles. I liked them, had them when I was at deals gap, they did ok but they didnt give me a total sense of confidence.

Now with a set of M1s, man o man, what a difference. I've had these tires way farther over than I ever got my 208s on normal riding. I'd say I've got them as far over as I had my 208s at the gap. They are super grippy, havent felt them break loose yet and the ride is pretty nice.

I'm probably gonna re-order these unless I move up to the new Pilot Pros, which I hear are outta this world good but also about 50-100 more a tire depending on where you find them. Bottom line, I like the M1's way better than my 208s, but your results may vary

I am on 3rd set of M-1's, and have been very happy with performance...next, I will try the Pirelli Diablos...I am told by a couple of buddies that they are better than the M-1's...for aggressive rideing.... have-fun!

I have never used any

M1's have been out a while, and are highly respected. They could be becoming old news. People are raving about the Diablo Corsa. And the pilot power is still too new to tell.

from parts411 the pirelli diablos are only 218, for the regular ones, how are they different from the corsa's? they have same tread pattern right?

I put on a set of Sportec M1's back in May and I love them. Real sticky and holds the bike steady on twisty roads. It's very hard to break them loose. I can't attest to treadwear just yet because I haven't had them on long enough, but they are doing good so far. I paid $250 shipped for the set at Parts411.com. Regardless of what everyone says, it's simply going to come down to WHAT's your comfort level and HOW you ride. Good luck!

HELL  YEAH!!! Better than any slip...I mean bridgestone. Makes 207's & 8's feel like worn out slicks.
Exact same tire as the Pirelli just a different tread pattern & name. You won't be disapointed.

Hey, Cris,

How many miles did you manage to squeeze out of those M1's?

I recently was contemplating about getting those (to replace stockers BT56 which lasted for about 5k miles including 3 track days), but didn't want to replace them after 2 - 3k miles. So, I went with BT56 again.

I ride moderately aggressively, and didn't have problems with stockers in the dry, or wet riding, or during track days. So, I figured why change.

A friend has them on his 03' 1K he likes them alot. I have the Metzeller Rennsports and they work very well too.
