Mich pilot sport 200 series

Is the 200 a good idea? It's a 50 too, so the circumference will increase. That means messed up speedometer, a decrease in overall gear ratio, bike will be higher at the back, etc. etc. It will give slightly more contact patch straight up, but slightly less at full lean. Am I wrong?

Do you know what the circumferance of the Pilot 200 is????????I think the stock rear is 1965 mm.Sidewall hight?Section height/width as well as tread surface width all play a part in a tires handling characturistics. The stock Bstones are actually a 198 section width and also a 50`s series tire.Is anyone out there running a 200 series? I think Dirty Pete was.I do think also that the 200 series is a slower turning tire than say a 180 as far as contact patch goes I know some of it has to do with the tires constructon as well as its tread surface width and its crown.Did I help or make matters worse?

You helped Gsx: I figure we need the comments of somebody that switched to them, instead of speculating. I don't want to be the one to find out there is a problem with the swap. I don't even have my bike yet, so I figure I'm 5 or 6K miles away from that decision.
Merry Christmas!

I have had the 200 on my bike for a while. It will not work for you if you have or if you want a hugger. The tire will fit on the stock rim just fine without the tire rubbing againt nothing. The tire won't touch the chain, swing arm, or anything else.

I belive that the A-TECH hugger will work since it sits on top of the bracing, the Lockhart and ART huggers fit inside the swingarm bracing.
I also would speculate the FSMD hugger will take a 200 as well. I believe Dirty Pete has one of FSMD's huggers on his bike.

The pilots work well on a wet road, I have not been stuck in the rain with them just on some wet roads when there were showers. Typical New England weather, if you don't like it just wait it will change.

Pros, better traction going straight. more of a beafier look. Con's, lose a little in the twisties and going around corners faster then normal. Pirelli dragons and michelin tx25 and the new hi-sprot are the best 200 tires. my 2 cents of course.

Kawabuser are the street pilot 200`s on the market? Frank this is going on the bike that I will ride a lot...wanted something that will last a little longer than the race compound...Thanks Cycle Stuff!

Are the 200 pilots out yet? wheels getting chromed...good time for tire change...got a set of factory bridgestone tires...1 mile...anyone interested?

Damn....No wonder why I couldn't get anything better than a 1.60 short time!

Next time I'll put liquid hair spray on My tire the night before I go to the Track.

LOOK OUT!!! HERE IT COMES!!!

1.40 short times, I can feel it already...
