I went 22,000 miles on the last set in my '08. With the new plugs there wasn't a measurable increase in milage or 1/4 mile trap speed. Also I did NOT notice a difference in idle quality or drivability.
It ran the same with new plugs as it did with the old ones.
Also there was not any noticable wear observed on the old plugs.
I currently have 20 thousand km on the iridium plugs on my 08 and have no plans to change them any time soon previously on my touring bike I have run the iridiums for 60 K 100 thousand km with no issues I think if you ride the busa sensibly the iridiums will go 60K easy
16,000 so far zero issues . I have many customers with motorcycles that use the same plug as the hayabusa . Those bikes call for many more miles than Suzuki does . Touring like I do with hwy gearing not 1/4 mile gearing its barley working to cruise 65 mph in the back roads . The level of were is far from using it @ 200 mph over the course of say a race season in grudge type turbo racing .
