MIRRORS FOR THE BUSA

I just accidentally bumped into my baby hard enough to pop out the stock mirror, shattering it on the ground. Now I could just replace with another stock model but this gives me an excuse to modify this area. so now i would love any and all suggestions and pics if possible on what you think I should look for. I like the running/ blinker light idea but am unsure how to wire it in. Lets hear it Busa guru's what can you tell me.

I would stick to stockers with the 1" extension spacer, so you can actually see out of them. Of course I like touring, not staring at it in a parking lot though.

but just to add on that. I have nice chrome wavy ones that look cool BUT they are absolutly WORTHLESS

the mirrors are half the size of stock and the vibration is more pronounced so seeing out of them driving down the rode is OUT

The only reason I put up with them is cause imho the most important time to see behind you is sitting at a light. and I can position myself to watch behind me long enough to make sure the cages coming up are gonna stop.

I'd sell you my old ones but they are custom painted to match my body work and I may put them back on for some occations

The stockers are the best IMO. Although, the ones pictured above seem to be effective as well.

Thanks for the busa mirror extention idea. I can't see sh#t out of mine cept my shoulders and elbows.

If you really want to see what's behind you, a bar end mirror is the way to go.

I've been tempted to replace my mirrors with ones from a newer Gixxer with the turn signals incorporated into them and would like to wire my present turn signals to stay on as running lights. Has anyone done that?

Maybe this thread should be reposted under a "Mods" heading.

I got these chrome mirrors off ebay & love them...They work just as well as the OEM mirrors. I didnt want to loose any visibility which is why it took me a long time to make a switch. I was originally just going to paint my mirrors so I grabbed these off ebay. Ended up really liking them, so they are staying on the bike...So if you want visibility & the chrome look, give these a try...
