Mode Selection (Just a thought)

I know its probably been done to death, but here goes:-

Ever since it came out on the Gixxer Thou, I thought wot a load of bollox and I said I would never use it.

Now I've bought a Gen 2 I am still of the same opinion and do not intend to use it.
Out of curiosity I have just tried it, its terrible, who wants yer Busa's balls cutting off.

However, this thought has occurred to me, has anyone got fuel consumption figures for modes B & C.
My reasoning around this question is that if you are out on a limb and the Gas Stations are many miles away, if the fuel consumption's are better in these modes, it would then be advantageous to use the most economical mode to limp home in.

If I am just cruising down the highway, I get better mileage in B mode.

In c mode I get about 15 to 20 more miles per tank it seems

Another reason I have slight preference to the gen1. No little modes to drive me nuts. 1 mode all the time

I carry a 5 gallon fuel can under my cowl mod.

Maybe two to three miles a gallon better. If you have ever been caught in the rain the "C" mode is nice.

Yeah, from what I read it is a nice feature when on wet/slick roads.
