More MPS shifter troubles

:banghead: I just ordered the air shifter kit with engine kill for a busa from MPS and have got it all mounted, it says in the instructions to try the kill time at 3000 RPMs and hit the button to see if it hesitates, my bike does hesitate or anything. As far as adjusting the kill time is that on the air valve itself or the kill box. The valve has a small screw that moves but MPS says the adjuster has a travel distance thats equal to 7 o'clock to 5 o'clock, this screw has nowhere near that travel distance. I dont see any knob or screw on the kill box itself. Sorry thats alot but thats my issue. Any idea's ?

the kill box should have a hole in it with a white dial in it.that is where you adjust your kill time.what did you use for a switch?

Are you using the horn button to shift? All the toggle switch is for is to activate the system if your using the horn button to make the shift. It sends power to the pressure switch instead of the horn. The killbox you have should have a small hole with a white screw( you will need a very small phillips screwdriver) to make the adjustment. I have used the MPS blue box b4, it will take some playing with it to get it just right.

The shifter kit I got is from MPS part#1-0520. The kill box isnt adjustible on it. When you order this kit you have to send your ECU to MPS so they can reflash it. The kill box is pre set to kill for 0.070 secs. When I hit the horn button to shift I have to let off the throttle for it to shift, no hesitation in the engine at all. I've already sent the wire harness and the ECU back for MPS to check and they said it worked on their bike. Everything on the kit works except for the engine kill itself, Im not supposed to have to come off the throttle at all for it to shift.:please::pullhair:

You should not have to lift off to get it to shift. It also sounds like the kill time is too long. I use the ecu as my killbox and it kills ignition and fuel and its set .040. Also why do you have send the ecu back to mps? If you have a killbox then there is no need for that.

Any info on the charge I need to run the engine kill ??????? I just started my bike and put a load tester on it and the charge dropped to 10.50v. Does my system need a full 12 volts to kill the ignition and fuel for a shift.

you dont have to clutch or back out just hit it the air shifter should shift and the kill box kills motor !

i dont have one i am running a quick shifter and had my ecu flashed , kill set at .080 ms kind long but i have had no problems

pin it shift and it all works fine !

Do you have any other ign modules or a pc3 of sorts? any other items tapped into the coil sticks?
