motorcycle VS cager

I Just left work last night around 7:20pm i was traveling south bound on midway toward spring valley. midway is a 6 lane road, 3 lanes in both directions. I was in the left lane, there was a guy on the north bound trying to cross the street and he pulled out in front of me, i hit the breaks hard and started to move over but didnt have enought time, and ended up clipping his front bumper and down I went. Im ok, i think my backpack took most of the damage and got a small abrasion size of silver dollar on my elbow and my left side is bruised. guy ended up with a ticket because he did not have his license on him said he left his house in a hurry and forgot it. bike on the other hand does not look as good.....

I hope you got that guys insurance info. Fixing a King can be VERY expensive. Makes a Busa look cheap. You really came out OK for that kind of a wreck. I'm glad your OK. So few Kings out there and each time one crashes it's a sad moment in history! I hope you can fix it or get another. Good Luck!

The police officer got all of his info, i was too pissed to talk to the guy, i wanted to kick his ass for being an idiot. police officer said all of his info will be in the report(and waiting for it to be posted online). i did get a copy of his expired insurance card, said it was still up to date just didnt have new cards with him.
it also sucks i still owe about $7.500, so even if it is totaled im still going to be screwed or break even...

the police officer(rides a bike too) riped the guy a new one, telling the guy that as gas prices go up the more motorcycle are out and you cant be driving like an idiot.

i think the bike is totaled, i just need my own little estimate and just the damage is just shy of $6k for parts, and factor in labor and tax, its not looking good.

Yeah its good you survived.It sucks for the rare bike but you are even more rare and irreplacable.Dam I am tired of everyother post about someone getting hit or killed lately on a bike.Stick it to him good.
