Motorcyclist says he drove 120 mph to avoid ticket | Freep.com | Detroit Free Press

FRENCHTOWN TOWNSHIP-- A 22-year-old Cincinnati motorcyclist leaving Detroit told police he sped through the cordoned-off worker area of an I-75 construction zone at 120 m.p.h. because he was worried about getting a ticket.

Joshua Henderson was driving 70 m.p.h. in the regular lanes of a 45 m.p.h. construction zone just south of the I-275 interchange in Frenchtown Township Thursday afternoon, Michigan State Police Trooper Stephen Borello said. He sped up to more than 120 m.p.h. when Borello tried to pull him over.

No one in the construction zone was injured during 15 seconds Henderson veered off and drove through a mile-long section where workers were repairing the road. But a South Rockwood Police officer trying to join the chase as exited the highway onto South Huron Drive hit his head and hurt his neck when he crashed into a ditch.

Henderson, who was charged in 1st District Court in Monroe this morning with felony fleeing and eluding charges, finally pulled over in Berlin Township.

He told investigators he was an accounting student visiting Detroit for a job fair, and he was worried about the repercussions of getting a ticket in a construction zone, Borello said. He didn’t have any other traffic tickets on his record, Borello added.

hes either
a: not able to go more than 120
b: a loser for not speeding up more and losing the cops after he started to run
c: a loser altogeteher.

b: a loser for not speeding up more and losing the cops after he started to run

???

He is already running 120 through a construction zone risking lives of innocent workers, so he is a loser for not going faster!!!! ???

hopefully his accounting studies will help him calculate his fines

"He didn’t have any other traffic tickets on his record, Borello added."
Well he does now!
