MPG after exhaust mods

Okay, I'm a newby. However, I have been reading and enjoying some great posts for many months now. My LOADED question is this. How have your miles per gallon been affected after exhaust mods? From what I've read and deduced, MPG should actually increase (same riding conditions) after getting an exhaust modification. My reasoning is that the engine is breathing easier (also assuming intake mods) and running more efficiently than in the stock mode. I also don't necessarily equate more horsepower/torqe gains with loss of fuel mileage. I am looking forward to getting my 1st 'Busa in the next month or so. I commute mostly, and I know I shouldn't be too concerned about MPG, but I'm just curious. I had a Honda VFR and got better MPG with a Staintune slip-on and a K&N. Any comments? Thanks
